Charming Chipping Campden and a weekend staycation in the Cotswolds.
Hey there, fellow UK explorers! Can you really call yourself a UK travel lover if you haven’t been to the Cotswolds? Love it (because its pretty damn beautiful) or hate it (because its touristville) no one can deny that it is picture postcard perfect and the perfect example of quintessential England at its best.
First things first, let's talk about the star of the show: Dover’s Hill. This scenic walk is like stepping into a fairy tale, with rolling hills, lush greenery, and views that'll make your jaw drop faster than you can say "cheese!" It's the perfect way to stretch your legs and soak in the beauty of the Cotswolds and makes for an easy circular route straight from the village. So if your wanting that easy ans short stroll which gives you everything you want front he rolling hills of the Cotswolds, views and honey coloured villages this is the perfect circular walk for you to try.
Now, let's talk about everyone's favorite topic: food. Chipping Campden is home to some seriously tasty eats, so you won't have any trouble satisfying those hunger pangs. Swing by The Old Bakehouse for a mouthwatering pastry or a hearty sandwich – trust me, you won't be disappointed. And if you're in the mood for something a bit more upscale, book a table at The Eight Bells Inn or Huxleys. Both with a cozy atmosphere and delicious menu, it's the perfect spot for a leisurely meal with friends or family. Other great spots we visited were The Bantam Tea Rooms for lunch, which was great for a hot bowl of soup and a cake after a long walk in the hills. Also one not to miss is MOR for great coffee and bakery.
One to mention, but not in Chipping Campden itself, but is well worth the drive is The Ebrington Arms.

Put it this way, your camera roll is going to take a major beating after a weekend here.

Broadway Tower:
Broadway Tower stands as an iconic landmark steeped in history and offering breathtaking panoramic views. Perched atop the second highest point in the Cotswolds, this imposing tower has captivated visitors for centuries. Originally built in the late 18th century as a folly, it has since served various purposes, including as a country retreat for artists and an important signaling station during World War II. Today, visitors flock to Broadway Tower not only for its rich history but also for the unparalleled vistas it offers of the surrounding countryside, including sweeping views of the Malvern Hills and the Vale of Evesham. Time this with sunrise or sunset for the perfect views.
Snowshill:
Tucked away in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, Snowshill is a charming village bursting with character and quirkiness. With its honey-coloured stone cottages and narrow winding streets, it feels like stepping into a storybook. This one is a great village to visit as it hasn’t been overrun with coach loads of tourists, ( visiting here gives you an idea of what sleepy little Cotswolds villages should all be like.
